Project Info:
I was commissioned by Premier Communications to promote the release of Warner Bros 'Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor' video game. I began by taking a life cast of the actors head, neck and shoulders. After I completed the sculpture of the Orc using Chavant oil based clay I then created a two part fiberglass mould and cast the design in platinum cure silicone. The mask was painted with alcohol activated paints on the day due to deadline constrains and the armour was made from an old aluminum sheet taken from a discarded garage door.
